Main Ridge
Arthurs Views accommodation is just a short drive from the rural town of Main Ridge.
While the town of Main Ridge itself contains only a few small businesses, the surrounding area offers some of the most spectacular country side in Victoria. The southern part of main ridge is part of the Mornington Peninsula National Park, which contains some of the best walks on the Mornington Peninsula. It also contains the largest population of eastern grey kangaroos on the peninsula. Walking through Greens Bush just before dusk you’re almost guaranteed to encounter groups of Kangaroos moving through the bushland to congregate in open spaces.
Even without the Kangaroos, Greens Bush is quite possibly the best walk on the Mornington Peninsula, featuring lush eucalypt forests with undergrowth that is carpeted with ferns and grass trees. The Greens Bush walking track is also part of the Two Bays Walking Track. Those with a bit more stamina can continue on through Greens Bush, then down into Bushrangers Bay for a leisurely coastal stroll.
Main Ridge also features a good selection of wineries including Main Ridge Estate which is open from noon most days.
Visitors to Main Ridge should also visit the Main Ridge Dairy the only large commercial dairy on the Mornington Peninsula. The Cheesery at Main Ridge Dairy offers a delicious selection goat cheeses and goat milk, all available to purchase direct from the farm Thursday through to Sunday.
At Arthurs Views Bed & Breakfast, Main Ridge is easily accessible by car in just a few short minutes.
